Unintentional Murder
A Novel
Set in the economically poor hills of southeast Oklahoma the story follows one woman’s search for the truth behind the deaths of numerous elderly people. Had Lidia Caldwell known of the problems she would encounter on the trip to her hometown she would have never gone. Lydia had enough problems with her son going into the Army against her wishes, her alcoholism, and four ex-husbands. Aunt Thelma had called to ask her to come to Cy Harden’s funeral because she believed he was murdered even though he had recently been in the hospital.
Upon arriving she learns that more than one suspicious death had occurred recently. A total of nine people had died with two things in common, Dr. Thomas and the Door-to-Door Home Health Agency. The longer she is in Oklahoma, the more she learns. She is threatened, stalked, and pushed to running for her life as suspicion turns to facts in this life and death struggle to see the truths are exposed.

Page turner. That is how I would describe this book. It is one of those books that grabs you from the first page. It takes the reader on a series of small town murder mysteries trying to be swept under the rug by two generations of bullies and keeps the reader wondering how they are all tied together. The plot twist is amazing and will keep the reader guessing throughout the entire book. The main character is relatable to the reader and it is easy to develop that emotional attachment as the reader gets further into the book. Definitely, a book that I would recommend to anyone looking for a great read and guessing game to the end.

Catalyst
A Novel
Devlin Carter has been sent to Hotel San Diego in the beautiful city of San Diego to manage the property until a permanent manager can be found. On her first night a fire in the laundry room is just the prelude of events to follow where in ten days seven deaths occur at the hotel.
The southern part of California is home to a natural phenomenal called the Santa Ana wind. The Santa Ana is caused by a high pressure to the northeast and a low pressure system along the coastline. Winds gusting up to seventy-five miles per hour stir up death and destruction as electrical lines are broken and fires break out in the valleys and suburbs. The natives believe when the Santa Ana blows it brings in the spirits of the Ancients. This time the Santa Ana has flamed more than an outbreak of fires as the already volatile tension of the gangs result in an all-out war on the streets.
Inside the hotel Devlin Carter must prevent a stalker from completing his task. As the full moon rises, so do the deaths.

Full of adventure! This book has it all! It is full of drama, comedy, sadness, murder, culture, you name it and it is in this book. It is an adventure from page one could be made into a television miniseries. It is one that keeps the reader's attention immediately and is not easy to sit down and walk away from. Without giving to much away to anyone that has not read it, it makes the reader look at hotels in California that deal with the Santa Ana winds on a regular basis and their staff in a whole other aspect from page one. I would recommend this book to anyone, anytime. In fact, I already have.

Takes the lady rebel to a whole other level. A book about a strong willed, very family oriented woman that juggles kids, a business and military husband and is a master at it. However, she is tested when lifelong neighbors that she was raised with and that are considered family are not the sweet folks she thought they were. This book takes the reader to the level of appreciation if you are a person/reader that loves an independent woman that can think for herself and put pieces of a murder mystery together while balancing a very busy, everyday life. Loved it.

These books will keep you up at night. They are impossible to put down. They are proof to never judge a book by the cover. They take young, struggling women on a life altering adventure that lasts an entire lifetime. They are a miniseries that can take the reader to a whole other level of awareness, drama, struggle and paranoia. As an avid reader these books are amazing and will keep you awake at night, just so you can find out what happens to the main characters and only leaves you wanting more. The author is amazing at how she ties the lives of these two women together and how even though they are separated by time, age and social status, their lives parallel eerily. Simply amazing and a five star read.
